Making a Playground in Dogpatch
One of the only places in San Francisco without a park for local kids, Trumark Urban was happy to join together with their Dogpatch neighbors to turn their dreams of a playground into a reality.
Together with our partners, Trumark Urban raised over $10,000 to support the effort and SF Supervisor Malia Cohen played an integral role by identifying a public area on 22nd Street between Minnesota and Indiana as a potential site. This patch of sun-filled land had been allocated to SFMTA, who had originally committed to install and maintain a park for neighborhood use. Our collaborative effort created a catalyst to honor the intention to turn the space, which had fallen into disrepair, into a vibrant hub for the local community. Thanks to these combined efforts, the playground is now up and filled with kids running and laughing.
