Jason’s method of thinking is unconventional when it comes to creating new neighborhoods that reshape communities. Inspired by an influential mentor early in his career, he focuses on the desired outcome first and then reverse engineers the steps to achieve it.
At Trumark Urban, Jason oversees strategic growth, legal affairs, and land acquisitions. A math teacher in his early twenties, Jason developed an innate ability to take complex issues and distill them to resonate with people. Jason credits both his maniacal attention to detail and thirst for excellence for his success at Trumark. In addition to his role as CIO, Jason serves on Trumark Companies’ Board of Directors. He became President of Trumark Companies in June 2002 after serving as Vice President of the company’s land acquisitions division and helping to expand Trumark into Southern California in 1995.
Prior to joining Trumark, Jason worked as an attorney at the law firm of Luce, Forward, Hamilton & Scripps LLP in San Diego. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from UCLA and his Juris Doctorate degree from Pepperdine University School of Law. He is a licensed attorney by the State Bar of California.
“Be true to yourself. Make each day a masterpiece. Help others. Drink deeply from good books. Make friendship a fine art. Build a shelter against a rainy day.” —John Wooden
“In my twenties, I had an influential mentor who taught me to think in terms of what “should be,” not “what is.” As a result, I’ve learned to create the desired outcome first, and then reverse engineer the steps required to get there. This mentality works well when trying to create new neighborhoods and reshape communities.”
“The people. TU is a collection of smart, young and hungry to achieve individuals who enjoy each other and have a passion for greatness.”
