Look inside the swanky model units of Ten50 in Downtown LA
Buyers looking to drop at least $600,000 on a condo in Downtown have a fancy new option in South Park, the neighborhood that spreads south from the Staples Center to the Fashion District. Ten50, the long-stalled tower at the corner of Olive and 11th streets, is still under construction, but having recently put the finishing touches on a trio of model units, developer Trumark Urban is giving potential buyers hard hat tours.
The 151 condos range in size from one-bedrooms to two-story penthouses, the largest spanning 3,575 square feet. The least expensive units are asking in the low $600,000s and are the coziest; the smallest is 679 square feet. Penthouses are asking upwards of $4 million.
Ten50, which has 25 floors, is considered a “luxury” tower, a term used by developers to describe hotel-like amenities, typically including a ground-floor lobby, pool, gym, and other shared spaces. Ten50 is trying to set itself apart by offering a yoga deck…and a drone landing pad for deliveries.
Curbed toured a two-bedroom, two-bathroom with generous closet space and north-facing windows with excellent views of what will be the tower’s pool deck, as well as the top of the Eastern Columbia Lofts, the Wilshire Grand, and the Ace Hotel.
Sources say Trumark Urban is aiming to sell 50 percent of the units by November, but hasn’t quite reached that goal. Still, it’s managing director Arden Hearing says in a press release, “the opportunity to purchase real estate in DTLA has become more and more attractive as rents continue to rise.”
